The $359.9M RealPage Rent Settlement: Is Your Building on the List?

If you rented an apartment between October 18, 2018 and November 21, 2025, your landlord may have set your rent with RealPage pricing software. Renters in covered buildings can file a free claim until January 29, 2027.

The short version: look up your old addresses on the official property list, then file on the official site. Filing is free. You do not need a lawyer or a paid claim service.

Who is included

According to the court-approved settlement site, the class is people and entities in the U.S. and its territories who paid rent on at least one multifamily residential lease from October 18, 2018 through November 21, 2025 at a property that used RealPage revenue-management software (RMS, LRO, YieldStar or AIRM).

Most renters never knew what software their landlord used. That's why the property lookup matters more than your memory.

Step 1: check every address you rented from

  1. List every apartment you rented since late 2018.

Include buildings you moved out of. The class period ends November 21, 2025, so old leases count.

  2. Search each one on the official Property List.

Go to RealPageRentalSettlement.com and use the Property List / Property Lookup.

  3. Keep a note of the matches.

Have the address, your rough move-in and move-out dates, and what you paid in rent ready before you start the claim form.

Step 2: file the claim (free) before January 29, 2027

Submit the claim form on the official site. The deadline is January 29, 2027 (11:59 p.m. Eastern for online claims).

Watch out for paid "claim helpers." The official site says, in capitals, that you do not need to sign up or pay another attorney, company or individual to file. Anyone asking for a fee or a cut is optional at best.

What to expect

While you're checking: search your name for unclaimed money too

Many people who are owed rent-settlement money also have forgotten deposits, refunds or final paychecks held by their state. Our free 50-state checklist links each official database.
